Dianette to yasmin........................

I'm switching to yasmin from dianette.. dianette made me sick at first and feel crap for about 2 weeks.. will yasmin do the same? has anyone done this switch??

I've been on diane for about 3 years. When I first took it, I felt soooooooooooooooooo sick. Nausea, vomiting, moody, tired. It was really hard. But after 2-3 months it went away. I remember once, my doctor made me switch to yasmin. I took yasmin for 1 week and the same symptoms were there. So i just went back onto dianette, and Im completely fine now. I think all of these pills will have these side effects, but the trick is to stick to one for at least 3 months. If the symptoms dont go away then try another pill.

I am delighted to see that you are changing from Dianette which,as I am sure you were warned, has twice the clot risk of other pills. (50/100,000/year)

The hormones in the 2 drugs are quite different and hopefully it will be better tolerated.
