For the past 3 or 4 months I have hadthroat tightness. I have been to thehospital twice, because it feels like I’mgoing to die, and my throat is closing. Iwas reassured when I went to a GI Doc andthey did an endoscope and now a bariumswallow. They found MILD esophogitis andmild gastritis (infection in stomach). Ihave been on protonix for over 3 monthsfor GERD. This throat tightness happenedout of nowhere…and has continued. I amworried that it’s something else that’smore serious…my regular MD wants to sendme to get tests done for my thyroid,thinking they MAY be swollen. Is thereanyone who has had similar symptoms and isthis curable? I tend to think it’s NOTreflux…I take mylanta, tums…etc…andit does not go away. I sometimes get aburning feeling, but only on the rightside of my throat (esop.). I am depressedand feel like I will NEVER get better!

Sorry if this is a common question, but Isearched the forums and couldn’t reallyfind anything to do with this.

Anyway, when I’m overly tired, I often getnosebleeds (and only out of one nostril,but that’s because I semi-broke my nose asa kid). Does anyone know why this wouldhappen or if it’s common? Is thereanything I can do to prevent it (otherthan not getting overly tired, of course:-p)?

I’m posting about my boyfriend. He wakesup a lot vomiting through his nose andmouth, he has nosebleeds a lot, and heoften complains of his “whole bodyhurting”. I may be worried about nothing,but I’d like to see what other peoplethink. If anyone knows if these things area sign of something serious, please let meknow.
